Tips and Instructions for Iron-On Patches:
Step 1. Pre-heat the iron to its hottest temperature setting. DO NOT USE STEAM DURING PROCESS.
Step 2. Ensure the intended application surface is clean and dry.
Step 3. Preheat the surface where attaching patch for 10-20 seconds.
Step 4. Place your item in its intended position on the application surface. Cover your item with a thin cloth or similarly protective material.
Step 5. Press the iron straight down onto your cover for approximately 20-30 seconds with constant pressure (no back and forth motion).
Step 6. Turn the material inside out (if possible) and repeat step 5.
Step 7. Let the material cool in place for at least one minute. If all edges are not firmly attached, repeat process.
- Because this is a heat-based application process, do not apply to fabrics and material that could be damaged by excessive heat (e.g. Leather, Rayon, Spandex, Nylon, etc)
- Although it is not required, you may want to have someone with prior knowledge and experience with sewing stitch down your patch after ironing it into place. This will guarantee that the edges do not peel over time and ensure that the patch does not detach after repeated use or wash.
